3rd edition in Engilsh // Rebassa, Manchado, Torrens, Oriola // p.v.p. 18 €
New changes have recently taken place in the island’s avifauna. New species such as Cream-Coloured Courser, American Golden Plover, Caspian Gull, Hume’s Leaf Warbler, Semicollared Flycatcher, Italian Sparrow, Eurasian Bullfinch and Cretzschmar’s Bunting (some of which had not previously been cited anywhere in Spain, which reinforces the concept of the great importance of Majorca for the observation of rare species), as well as other birds, have changed their status. This is the case, for example, of the Robin, previously only an over-wintering species but which has recently colonised Majorca as a breeding species.
In this Third Edition of the Guide all these, as well as other recent changes, are reflected. The opportunity has also been taken to update and improve the maps and itineraries. The result is an enhanced edition, which while conserving the initial format and number of pages, now presents both updated and more complete information.
First and Second Edition of the Guide sold out in just under 6 years (with sales of almost 5,000 copies) and received very good critical acclaim from both readers and specialised bodies. This fills us with satisfaction and encourages us to continue improving this work. We hope that this Third Edition of “A Birding Tourist Guide to Majorca” will continue to be equally useful and interesting to all those who consult it during their ornithological visits to an island which, in spite of being so well-known and frequently visited, never ceases to provide agreeable surprises.
